Nye Family Reunion September 21, 2019

Did you know that the Nye Family Reunion is a bi-annual tradition dating back to 1903? You really don't want to miss out on all that history by skipping this seminal event, which features fellowship, food, fun, and family from across the country. You also won't want to miss the outdoor clambake (non-shellfish options available). And like me, you're probably dying to hear what the guitar, fiddle, and concertina combo calling itself the Rum-Soaked Crooks actually sound like (they sing fantastic sea shanties from what I hear).

Open to the Public! Tickets Range from $20 to $70.

Full Details and Registration at NyeFamily.org/Reunion.

Antique Appraisals, Live! October 5, 2019

In case you missed it, we recently held a super fun Q&A with John & Kathy Nye, who are both connected to the PBS programAntiques Roadshow. We seem to have caught Antiques fever since then, as we are hosting a Live Appraisal Event on October 5. Bring your antiques down to the East Sandwich Grange Hall for certified appraisals and to enjoy live performances and guest appearances by renowned appraisers. This is The Can't-Miss Event of the Year.

$10 Admission, tickets available at Eventbrite.com

 Autumn Gathering October 19th, 2019

Let's get back to Fall. We love hosting our annual Autumn Gathering to celebrate the changing season. Hearth Cooking in a 17th century house? Butter Churning? PUMPKINS? Join us October 19 for possibly the most Fall day ever.

Mill Museum Grand Opening November 9, 2019

If you've ever visited us, you probably know that the Nye Homestead is so much more than a colonial house museum. When Benjamin Nye established a home for his wife and family here in 1678, he built it next to his grist mill. Five generations of Nye millers followed in Benjamin's footsteps, grinding grains for the community and living at the Homestead for nearly 200 years. In honor of that legacy, the Nye Museum is proud to introduce the Nye Mill Museum.

Join us on November 9 for a celebration of this exciting new addition to our historic property. Festivities will include remarks by historians and archaeologists who worked on the restoration project, and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
